'Hellevator': Watch the First 10 Minutes of the Game Show From 'Paranormal Activity' Producer Jason Blum

Hellevator, GSN’s awesomely named new horror-themed game show, won’t premiere until Oct. 21, but Yahoo TV has an exclusive look at the first 10 minutes of the series now.

In each episode, three friends hoping to earn up to $50,000 step on to a haunted elevator inside an abandoned warehouse. One player must get out on each floor and complete a terrifying challenge to earn money for the team. If he or she doesn’t make it back to the hellevator in time, it moves on without them.

The good news: the friends have walkie talkies to communicate. The bad news: The Twisted Twins sit in the control room and serve as the game’s masterminds — and the show is from executive producer Jason Blum, whose company, Blumhouse Productions, produced the Paranormal Activity, The Purge, and Insidious franchises.

In the sneak peek above, three college pals — Richard, Reina, and Sinead — enter the Slaughterhouse at midnight. “YOLO on three,” they say. Richard already looks like he’s going to cry while they’re hearing the rules, so you know it’s going to be good when he volunteers to go first and tries to evade a killer undertaker while completing his “dead ringer” challenge.

Also, Richard uses the word “hellevator” a lot and runs in place when he’s on alert (”I think I’m about to be runnin’. I’m about to be runnin’. Hold on…”)

Hellevator premieres Oct. 21 at 8 p.m. on GSN.
