Hap Collins is carrying his dead ex-wife, Trudy, around in a box, but that’s not the craziest thing he and pal Leonard Pine are about to deal with in this exclusive clip from Wednesday’s season premiere of Hap and Leonard: Mucho Mojo.
Leonard (Michael K. Williams) still holds a grudge against Trudy for the scam she dragged him and his BFF into in Season 1 — a scam that, as Leonard points out, nearly got him killed too. So, as far as Leonard is concerned, even the small box of Trudy’s cremated remains that Hap (James Purefoy) is holding onto isn’t welcome in his home.
Also not wanted in Casa Pine: the skeleton Leonard found under the floorboards of his home. It’s the house he inherited from his Uncle Chester, which makes it all the more troubling that this body of a young child has been residing under the house for years.
The discovery sets off a seasonlong mystery for the buddies, which will bring them into contact with Leonard’s sweet, pie-baking elderly neighbor, MeMaw (Irma P. Hall); the creepy next-door neighbor drug dealers who are selling their wares to children; savvy local attorney Florida Grange (Tiffany Mack); powerful local Sheriff Valentine Otis (Brian Dennehy); and Valentine’s son, local judge Beau Otis (John “Spud” McConnell), who has a tragic connection to Hap and Leonard’s past.
Hap and Leonard: Mucho Mojo premieres March 15 at 10 p.m. ET on SundanceTV.
