Hallmark's Spring Fling Includes Movies Starring Nicollette Sheridan, Lisa Whelchel, Brenda Strong

If you’ve got spring fever, it’s the perfect day for Hallmark Channel to announce its schedule for its “Spring Fling.” The programming event celebrating springtime love and romance includes three original movie premieres starring Desperate Housewives’ Nicollette Sheridan, Dallas’s Brenda Strong, and The Facts of Life’s Lisa Whelchel.

Sheridan serves as an executive producer for her film, All Yours, premiering Saturday, April 2 at 9 p.m. Watch the exclusive debut of the trailer above. As Hallmark describes the plot:

Cass (Sheridan), a high-powered attorney and single mother of two, is on the hunt for a new nanny after her precocious kids ran off the last one. Meet Matthew (Dan Payne), a world traveler who cannot settle down, until his father challenges him to plant roots. To prove to his father he can stay home and handle domestic life, Matthew interviews for a job as a nanny for a tough client — Cass. Cass refuses to hire him as her manny, but is forced to when she can’t find anyone else to take the job. Matthew wins over the hearts of her kids — and eventually the boss.

“It is a mother’s journey of wanting her children to have it all… but at what expense?” Sheridan says in the announcement. “I look forward to sharing this humorous and touching tale of role reversal and the universal theme of love.”

Whelchel’s film, Hearts of Spring, premieres April 9 at 9 p.m., and she stars as a famous mom blogger who’s facing an empty nest as her daughter (played by Whelchel’s real-life daughter Clancy Cauble) is college-bound.

When she turns to her blog for advice, she finds herself on the attack by a reader who has conflicting opinions. While she deals with him online, offline she finally meets a great single dad (Michael Shanks) and sparks start to fly. What she doesn’t know is that the confrontational reader and the adorable single dad are, in fact, the same person.

Loyal Hallmark movie viewers will recognize that’s one of the network’s new favorite tropes.

Strong’s film, Love By Chance, premieres April 16 at 9 p.m., and finds her playing a meddling mother to Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce’s Beau Garrett.

Helen (Strong) can’t help but try to constantly play matchmaker for Claire (Garrett), her beautiful daughter who believes love can only be found through fate and not a fix up. After Helen finally vows to avoid Claire’s love life, she inadvertently meets Eric (Ayres), a single thirty-something doctor. Helen arranges for him to secretly meet her daughter and the two quickly fall in love until Claire eventually learns the truth of her mother’s involvement. Feeling betrayed by both Helen and Eric, she breaks off the relationship until he fights to win Claire back.

Strong was a scene-stealer in last year’s Ice Sculpture Christmas. Will she do it again?
