Hallmark Channel Has Wrapped Its First 2017 Countdown to Christmas Movie

Yes, we know you’re still in the midst of enjoying Hallmark Channel’s Spring Fling movies, but the Countdown to Christmas machine never stops. The first of 2017’s new holiday originals recently completed production, and Yahoo TV has your first look. Allow the stars of Christmas Festival of Ice, Taylor Cole and Damon Runyan, to take you on set. (Flashbacks to 2015’s Ice Sculpture Christmas, anyone?)

The two tout the movie’s love story, so here’s the plot: While Emma (Cole) is waiting to see if she passed the bar, she learns that her hometown’s beloved ice-sculpting contest has been canceled. Determined to keep it going, she enlists sponsors and artists, including the talented but reluctant Nick (Runyan) to be her teammate. “As Emma and Nick work together, she realizes there’s more to life than legal briefs. And transformed by Emma’s can-do spirit, Nick is invigorated, too. They just might have a shot at winning this very special Christmas contest — and a lot more,” the synopsis says.
