‘The Grinder’ Creators Developing Workplace Comedy at Fox

Daniel Holloway

Fox has given a put-pilot commitment to an untitled single-camera workplace comedy from Jarrad Paul and Andy Mogel, the creators of “The Grinder.” The project hails from 20th Century Fox Television.

The comedy focuses on an office culture that is thrown into upheaval when the startlingly un-PC CEO is pitted against a newly hired ultra-PC sensitivity specialist. Paul and Mogul will serve as writers and executive producers.

“The Grinder,” starring Rob Lowe and Fred Savage, was warmly reviewed by critics last season and produced decent ratings. But Fox opted not to pick it up for a second season.

Paul and Mogul are represented by United Talent Agency, Mosaic, and attorney P. J. Shapiro at Ziffren.
