‘Grimm’ First Look: Sisters Are Doin’ It for Themselves

Why should Nick get to have all the monster-fighting fun on Grimm?

Since being “healed” by the mystery branch, dragged into an alternative dimension by a dead dude with a superstrong grip, and scribbling ancient symbols into tunnel walls in a trance state, Eve/Juliette (Bitsie Tulloch) has been lobbying the gang to be proactive in protecting themselves against the supernatural stick and all it represents. After peeping at the cranium creeper in the mirror (and especially after he reached through the looking glass), she’s been looking to take the fight to him.

And judging from this exclusive clip from Friday’s episode, entitled “Blood Magic,” she’s trying to enlist help from an unlikely source — her ex’s new girlfriend/former enemy who turned her into a witch, Adalind (Claire Coffee). “I think it will kill me if I don’t do anything about it,” Eve worries. “We have to find this thing and kill it.”

Adalind is skeptical, even wondering if Eve had shared her desire to understand how the mirror portals work and possibly even to hop into one with Nick. But Eve doesn’t want to talk to him until she has a” better handle on what we’re dealing with.” She wants to look at Adalind’s mom’s books but Adalind warns that “those books could be just as dangerous.”

Eve pulls out the big guns to get her way. After suggesting that Nick may be in danger, she hints to mama bear that her daughter, who can also see the pictograms, may be similarly doomed. Not that they will be biest friends forever from here on out (or even until the series finale airs March 31), but Adalind eventually agrees to find her mom’s old stash.

Grimm airs Fridays at 8 p.m. on NBC. Watch clips and full episodes of Grimm for free on Yahoo View.
