'Grey's Anatomy' Sneak Peek: Can Derek Accept His Little Sister as His Boss?
There’s sibling rivalry, and there’s the relationship between Derek and Amelia Shepherd on Grey’s Anatomy.
They’re both world-class neurosurgeons. They’re both brilliant and ambitious and headstrong. And they both like being in charge — except now, the tables have turned since Derek’s return to Seattle. Younger sister Amelia (Caterina Scorsone) is head of neurosurgery at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital while Derek (Patrick Dempsey) has to take orders from her. Basically, he’s gone from working for the president of the United States to working for his baby sister.

In this exclusive sneak peek from Thursday’s new episode, that friction is on full display as Amelia explains what she does to a group of wide-eyed students. The incredulous kids then learn what Derek does — and how they are related. “My sister is my boss,” he admits.
