Greatest ‘Battlebots’ Fight of All Time Makes Announcers Go Nuts
Battlebots has given us many impressive fights between robots, but on Thursday’s show there was a battle that went above and beyond. In fact, after this battle, one of the robots is probably in the scrap bin.
The battle was between Warhead and the heavy favorite, Complete Control. Warhead normally has a large metal-crushing dinosaur head mounted on it, but for this battle its operators opted for a quick-spinning saucer.
With the saucer’s incredible rotation speed, Warhead was able to cut through the armor of Complete Control and render it immobile. Once the robot was unable to move, Warhead delivered several more blows and lit Complete Control on fire.
The battle was so vicious that one of the announcers said, “This is potentially the greatest hit in Battlebots history.”
Battlebots airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
