‘Gotham’ New Teaser: The Penguin Takes Charge (Exclusive Video)

Fox has released a new teaser for this Monday’s Season 3 premiere of “Gotham,” and it looks like Fish Mooney and Oswald Cobblepot — a.k.a. The Penguin — are about to go to war with each other on the streets of Gotham City.

Last season ended with Mooney being resurrected by Dr. Hugo Strange after she was killed by Cobblepot. Armed with new mind control powers, she broke out of Arkham Asylum with a bus full of mutated inmates. After revealing her return to life to Cobblepot, Mooney escaped into the city while the mutants broke out of the bus and fled into the city.

In this new teaser set to a Frank Sinatra rendition of “The Impossible Dream,” we see Cobblepot use the public hysteria surrounding the released creatures to convince the populace to join him in his hunt for Mooney.

“If you love your family … if you love your children,” Cobblepot warns, “Find Fish Mooney.”

Stuck in the middle of this battle for control of Gotham’s underworld is Det. James Gordon, who is seen in the teaser confronting Mooney and her gang. We also see a glimpse of Bruce Wayne preparing to face the Court of Owls, the secret society that has been controlling Gotham for centuries.

Season 3 of “Gotham” begins on Monday, September 19, at 8 p.m. on Fox.
