'Girls' Cast Reveals Secrets Behind Sex Scenes on 'Inside the Actors Studio'

The cast of Girls took momentous steps onto the Inside the Actors Studio stage on Thursday and quickly talked about their dirty sex scenes. Allison Williams revealed that she told the show's creator, Lena Dunham, that she never wanted to be shown on camera. That hasn't seemed to work out in Williams's favor as she has admittedly done "everything else under the sun" on screen. She added, "I also bear the distinction of having had the most sex on our show." Lena Dunham described the roots of her penchant for baring her body for the camera. She said, "From the time that I was in high school and doing plays, I always used my body as, like, a comedy tool. Like, a tool for investigating sort of issues of femininity and issues of self-identification. " Though the on-screen sex can seem steamy, Williams described the horror-show of filming a sex scene in front of a crew, while still trying to maintain any level of modesty. "Everything has happened. My nipple covers ended up on the boy's nipple. Their sock thing has fallen off. Like, we've seen each other's stuff. They've gotten excited. They haven't gotten excited. It's all happened."
