Former 7th Heaven Actress Sarah Goldberg Dies at 40
Actress Sarah Goldberg, who is best known for playing Matt Camden's wife Sarah Glass Camden on 7th Heaven, died Sept. 27 from natural causes, the Chicago Sun-Times reports. She was 40.
According to Goldberg's mother, the actress died peacefully in her sleep at the family's cabin in Wisconsin. An autopsy failed to determine a cause of death, but her mother said that a heart ailment is suspected.

Goldberg was born in Springfield, Ill., and grew up playing volleyball and performing in local productions like the Chicago City Ballet's Cinderella. She earned a bachelor's degree in biology from Amherst College in 1996, and had dreams of becoming a doctor before she started acting.
Goldberg got her start in acting after appearing as an extra in the 1997 Julia Roberts film My Best Friend's Wedding, and then moved to California. She appeared on several TV shows, including House, CSI and a recurring role on Judging Amy, but it wasn't until she landed the role of Sarah on 7th Heaven that Goldberg really found success.

Her character, who appeared in 16 episodes from 2002 to 2006, was a medical student and the daughter of a rabbi (played by Richard Lewis). Sarah eventually married Matt Camden (Barry Watson), and their romance was popular with the show's longtime fans.
Goldberg's film credits include Traffic and Jurassic Park III. She had most recently recurred on 90210 in 2010.
