'Fargo' Season 2 First Look: Kirsten Dunst and Ted Danson Are Feeling Minnesota

Sure, the second season of True Detective is all well and good, but we’re still waiting for an encore from that other cable crime anthology: FX’s Fargo, which returns for Season 2 this September. And now, we have our first footage from the new installment in the form of two new teasers.

In the one above, we see Kirsten Dunst as beautician Peggy Blomquist… and is that blood she’s washing off her hands? Nah, made ya look; it’s just red hair dye. But knowing how the first season went, we feel pretty confident predicting: There will be blood.

And below, we see two cops exchanging folksy pleasantries over Thermoses of coffee: Ted Danson as Sheriff Hank Larsson, and Patrick Wilson as young state trooper Lou Solverson, Molly’s dad from Season 1. (Remember, this season will essentially be a prequel set in 1979, telling the tale of the bloody Sioux Falls incident Lou mentioned last season.)

The Season 2 cast also includes Nick Offerman, Jesse Plemons, Cristin Milioti, Jean Smart, Adam Arkin, and Bruce Campbell — as Ronald Reagan. If that’s not enough to sell you, we don’t know what is.

Season 2 of Fargo premieres in September on FX.
