Explore the Underworld of the 1920s in 'Carver: A Paris Story' Trailer (Exclusive)

The Hollywood Reporter

Paris in the year 1923 isn't a safe place to be - especially for the anarchists who made the mistake of kidnapping the daughter of a socialite who just happens to be the one-time love of a notorious gentleman of fortune.

Carver: A Paris Story, written and illustrated by Chris Hunt, tells the pulpy, violent story of that gentleman's attempts to return his former flame's offspring, as the eponymous Francis Carver wrestles with his inner demons while trawling the underworld of the city in search of the kidnappers. THR has the exclusive debut of the brand-new trailer for the collected edition of the series, released this week.

Debuting to critical praise last year as a miniseries, Z2 Comics' collected Carver edition features the entire story, including not only Hunt's main story and brief prologue, but also an additional short by Hunt's mentor, Battling Boy creator Paul Pope. Running 172 black-and-white pages, the book also features a gallery of the covers from the individual issues of the mini by Hunt, Pope and Alexis Zirrit.

The complete Carver: A Paris Story will be released Sept. 20.
