Eric Idle and John Cleese Help Everyone ‘Look on the Bright Side of Life’
On Thursday’s Conan Eric Idle and John Cleese aimed to brighten the spirits of the nation. The Monty Python stars have been touring their show “Together Again at Last … For the Very First Time.”
John Cleese shared his key to happiness. He said, “I think the secret is not to have children. Children are the cause of most of the misery in the world. They cost a fortune, you worry yourself sick, and then they grow up like their mothers.”
The two then sang, “Always Look on the Bright Side of Life,” from Life of Brian.
Hopefully, we can all take the cheery tone of the song and bring light after a divisive election.
Conan airs weeknights at 11 p.m. on TBS.
