Emmys: Tatiana Maslany, 'Game of Thrones' Dominate Social Media

The Hollywood Reporter

Tatiana Maslany, Rami Malek, Sarah Paulson and Game of Thrones dominated the talk on social media Sunday night among those who were chiming in on the Emmys.

According to Twitter, the most-discussed moment of the night was Orphan Black star Maslany's win for best actress in a drama -  her first Emmy win ever. That was followed by Mr. Robot star Rami Malek's win for best actor in a drama - his first-ever win as well - along with Game of Thrones' win for best drama, Veep's win for best comedy and The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story star Sarah Paulson's win for best actress in a limited series (another first-time winner).

The most-tweeted about stars were (in order) Maslany, Paulson, Malek, Saturday Night Live's Kate McKinnon, first-time winner for best supporting actress in a comedy series, and Veep star Julia Louis-Dreyfus, marking her fifth win for best actress in a comedy series.

Perhaps not surprisingly, based on the other data, the top five most-tweeted-about series were Game of Thones, followed by Orphan Black, Mr. Robot, The People v. O.J. Simpson and Veep.

The most retweeted tweet of the night was Hillary Clinton's congratulatory message to McKinnon, who portrays the Democratic presidential candidate on SNL:
