Emmys 2016 Red Carpet: What TV Character Would You Want as Your BFF?

We caught up with some of your favorite stars from the world of television on the Emmys red carpet and asked them what character from a TV show they would like to be friends with.

Perhaps the most interesting answer of the night came from Reid Scott of Veep. Scott said he’d like to be friends with the leader of the Unsullied on Game of Thrones, Grey Worm. Anna Chlumsky of Veep also chose a character from Game of Thrones to be her BFF: former assassin-in-training Arya Stark. That may be a dangerous friend to have, though.

“She’d probably kill me, but it would be really cool,” Chlumsky said of Arya.

Carly Chaikin, who plays hacker Darlene on Mr. Robot, had a much friendlier choice for her TV BFF. She chose waffle-loving civil servant from Parks and Rec Leslie Knope. Vincent De Paul, who played a priest on The Bay, said he’d like to be friends with the evil Valentino from American Horror Story: Hotel. Zach Woods, of Silicon Valley, said he’d like to be friends with Detective Andy Sipowicz from NYPD Blue because of the famous butt shot of actor Dennis Franz, who played Sipowicz.

Gary Cole and Kevin Dunn of Veep had a longer list of people from television they’d like to be friends with, though these are actually real people, not characters. Their list included Andy Griffith, Dick Van Dyke, Mary Tyler Moore, and the outlier, Pablo Escobar.
