Will Donald Trump Accept Election Results? ‘I Will Look at It at the Time’

Donald Trump says he’s not sure he’ll accept the election results come Nov. 8, which quickly became the biggest story of the third and final presidential debate.

Asked by Fox News moderator Chris Wallace whether he would accept the result of the election, Trump said, “I will look at it at the time.”

“What I’m saying is that I will tell you at the time. I’ll keep you in suspense,” he continued.

Trump’s comments directly contradicted what he said during the first presidential debate, when he told NBC’s Lester Holt that he “absolutely” would accept the results of the election.

But Trump has intensified his claims in recent days, suggesting a vast conspiracy between the news media and the Democratic Party to deny him the presidency.

Other leaders, including President Obama, have accused him of whining … and worse.

Trump continued making his claim even after his running mate, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence said Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press” that Trump “will absolutely accept the result of the election.”

Some election officials are worried that Trump’s latest claims regarding voting fraud could dampen turnout or, worse, lead his supporters to deny the results should he lose the election.
