Don Rickles Celebrates 90th Birthday with Regis Philbin and Jimmy Fallon

Comedian Don Rickles stopped by The Tonight Show on Tuesday and celebrated his 90th birthday. Known as “Mr. Warmth,” Rickles wasted no time throwing his classic insults at Jimmy Fallon. Before he could finish his introduction, Rickles interrupted the giggling Fallon by saying, “Just shut up and do it.” Having been a guest on The Tonight Show for more than 50 years, Don Rickles felt at home throwing insult after insult at the host.

Jimmy Fallon then brought out one of Rickles’s friends, Regis Philbin, who wished Rickles a happy birthday and brought out a cake. Fallon asked Rickles to close his eyes and make a wish before blowing out the candle. He replied, “I’ll close my eyes. And you just disappear.”

It seems even on his birthday, the insult comedian can keep his much-beloved air of unhappiness.

The Tonight Show airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. on NBC.
