Does Donald Trump Have TV Career to Thank for Political Success?

Does Donald Trump have his TV career to thank for a successful political career? One NBC executive seems to think so. Paul Telegdy, the network’s late night and alternative programming president, says Donald Trump is presumably the GOP presidential candidate because of The Apprentice.

When asked if the candidate would have succeeded in the primaries without 14 seasons of The Apprentice franchise, Telegdy quipped, “You know the answer – Of course not.”

But Trump, who was nominated for two Emmys and a Teen Choice Award for The Apprentice (he lost to Ashton Kutcher of Punk’d naturally), had been appearing on TV for decades before The Apprentice ever aired.

So can we really discount that his scene-stealing performances on WWE SmackDown, The Drew Carey Show, or The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air didn’t convince voters that the 1991 Winner of the Golden Raspberry Award for Worst Supporting Actor in Ghosts Can’t Do It is the best person to be in charge of selecting Supreme Court justices or authorizing nuclear strikes? I think not…

So here are SuperFan TV’s Favorite Donald Trump Cameos Throughout the Years in order of this video:
