'Difficult People' Renewed for Third Season at Hulu

Hulu is staying in business with some difficult people.

The streaming outlet has renewed Billy Eichner and Julie Klausner comedy Difficult People for a third season, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

The series, originally developed for USA Network, hails from Universal Cable Productions. Klausner created the comedy and executive produces alongside Amy Poehler and Brooke Posch, via Paper Kite Productions, 3 Arts' Dave Becky, Jax Media's Tony Hernandez and showrunner Scott King.

The show will return with 10 new half-hour episodes in 2017.

Difficult People joins a roster of original comedies at Hulu that also includes Casual.

Andrea Martin, James Urbaniak and Cole Escola co-star.

The pickup comes as Hulu recently nabbed SVOD rights to Eichner's Fuse-turned-TruTV entry Billy on the Street.
