‘Designated Survivor’ First Look: Governors Grill President Kirkman

Even the most powerful man in the world has to answer to someone. And on next week’s Designated Survivor, newly minted President Kirkman (Kiefer Sutherland) finds himself answering to quite a few someones — the governors of the 50 states.

After the tragic bombing of the Capitol that wiped out almost all of the government, President Kirkman is trying to rebuild. That starts with electing or appointing new congressmen and senators. The power to fill these positions falls to the governors, and they are demanding some answers from Kirkman. “We don’t know what you stand for,” one governor declares.

Another stands up to defend Kirkman, calling him a fine man. But, he adds, “most of these governors don’t know you like I do, sir.”

Looks like Kirkman is going to have to play politics again! Can he win over the governors and restart the government? Or will the country continue to fall apart?

Designated Survivor returns with a new episode on Wednesday, Nov. 9, at 10 p.m. on ABC. Watch clips and full episodes for free on Yahoo View.
