Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell shuttle their kids around in sleeper hot rod

Actor Dax Shepard visited Jay Leno's Garage where he showed off the 1994 Buick Roadmaster that he and his wife Kristen Bell use as their family vehicle. Shepard said he worked for GM Motors for 14 year, most of which was by familial association. His family delivered press cars and he would follow in a chase car to bring back the driver. His favorite chase car was the Buick Roadmaster from 1994-1996. Shepard said, "When my wife got pregnant four years ago, immediately I was like, 'I have to get a B-body station wagon between '94 and '96 because if I'm gonna be a dad, I don't want to be in a minivan. I want to be in something I can drift." But Shepard and Bell don't use the car just for drifting, they also uses it for family outings. "When my first daughter was a year old, we drove from L.A. To Oregon, and we had two dogs in the car, a baby, we had the gigantic cargo container on the luggage rack," said Shepard, "It was definitely my Clark Griswold fantasies come true." While the Roadmaster came with a lot of performance, Shepard's is not your stock vehicle. He upgraded the braking system with six piston calipers and huge rotors, as well as an engine swap with a 6.2 liter supercharged Chevrolet Performance LSA engine, capable of over 550 horsepower. To show off the car's capabilities, Shepard drag raced Jay Leno and his beloved 55' Roadmaster. Leno ended up winning 2 of 3 races but really they both won because they have such awesome cars.
