‘Dancing With the Stars’ Crotch Grab Explained: ‘Innocent Accident,’ Sharna Burgess Says
Sharna Burgess has a message for anyone who thinks that her “Dancing With the Stars” partner Bonner Bolton intentionally grabbed her crotch during Monday’s episode: Talk to the hand.
“DWTS” pro Burgess took to Twitter on Tuesday to set the record straight, after Bonner appeared to graze her crotch with his hand during a post-dance interview.
“WOW ppl saying Bonner grabbed ur V on purpose during Nick post dance interview,” one Twitter user tweeted at Burgess on Monday night, which drew a sharp response from the dancer.

“Then those ppl are ridiculous and gossip hungry fools … he is a true gentleman and absolutely would never. It was an innocent accident,” Burgess wrote.
Dubbing the incident “#handgate,” Burgess called suggestions that pro bull rider Bolton grabbed at her nether region on purpose “ridiculous.”
“Anyone who has the ridiculous idea that it was intentional…is straight up stupid. As in lacking the intelligence to realize it was innocent,” Burgess tweeted.

Video of the incident shows Burgess turning her back and leaning against a seated Bolton, who wraps his arm around Burgess’ waist and lets his hand fall into Burgess’ crotch area. Burgess then removes Bolton’s hand from the danger zone.
Bolton has not yet addressed the incident on his own Twitter account, possibly because he can no longer trust his hand to craft a proper response.
