Cynthia Nixon Seems Uncomfortable With Being Quoted in Ivanka Trump’s Book
On Watch What Happens: Live with Andy Cohen, former Sex and the City star Cynthia Nixon found out on live television that she was quoted in Ivanka Trump’s new book, Women Who Work: Rewriting the Rules for Success. Nixon’s in good company: The book contains quotes from Oprah, Gandhi, and the self-help book The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. But she didn’t seem too comfortable with being quoted.
The quote Trump used reads:
“If you’re being given a number of takes while making a film, trust that the thing you are trying to do, you kind of did it. Why not try something else? You can take that idea and apply it to life.”
In response, Nixon gave a quote that maybe Trump could use in her next book.
“Seems fine,” the actress said. “I’m not sure we should just randomly pick people out of a hat to be president. I wouldn’t go that far on trying new things.” She added, “I think trying new things is great when the fate of the free world isn’t an issue. Sure. Why not?”
