Cuteness overload: Ellie Kemper helps puppies get adopted

Ellie Kemper joined Stephen Colbert on The Late Show, where she helped tell adorable lies about puppies to help get them adopted. If you’re thinking that Ellie Kemper is basically a human puppy and that the thought of her holding puppies in her arms is just too much, then you’re not alone.

Kemper told us everything we need to know about one special dog. “She’s a rare Swiss army dog. Her teeth can open bottles. Her little fingernails are a complete screwdriver set, and there is a USB charger in her butt!”

Kemper also told us about Burt: “Burt, here, is the reincarnated soul of Austro-Hungarian Emperor Leopold I. That’s right. Leopold was known for his conflicts with the Ottoman Empire, but you’ll know Burt for humping your ottoman!”

Since Kemper and puppies can probably induce some serious cute overload, you might want to think about adopting Titus just in case you need to call 911. Colbert said, “Fun fact about Titus: He’s also a fully functioning cellphone.”

All these adorable puppies are adoptable through the North Shore Animal League of America.

The Late Show With Stephen Colbert airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. on CBS.
