Coldplay’s Chris Martin Carpool Karaokes With James Corden to Super Bowl

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin apparently needed a ride to the Super Bowl, and since it’s only few hours north of Los Angeles, The Late Late Show’s James Corden gave him a ride. The trip was about 350 miles, so they had lots of time to talk about all kinds of things, like American football. Chris’s understanding of the game may be a little off, as he started describing, “You have nine teams and two balls…”

The two mainly talked music as Chris performed his impression of Mick Jagger, sang several songs, and even gave viewers a taste of his upcoming halftime Super Bowl performance. Spoiler alert, it involved a tiny keyboard and the NFL is probably going to hate it.

They didn’t make it all the way to the bay area in one go, so they had to stay at a motel for the evening. To make matters worse, James’s car got stolen, so the next day the two finished the journey on a bicycle built for two.
