Coldplay, Beyoncé, and Bruno Mars Rock Super Bowl 50 Halftime Show

Levi’s Stadium’s field was covered in sunbursts for the Super Bowl 50 halftime show. Violinists and cellists from Youth Orchestra LA performed with Coldplay in matching red and blue windbreakers. Coldplay frontman Chris Martin pumped up the crowd from the kaleidoscope floral stage, getting them hot and ready for Bruno Mars and the Queen B herself, Beyoncé. Beyoncé performed her newest single “Formation” all in black, wearing a leotard, fishnet stockings, and army jacket with gold straps that felt evocative of the Black Panther movement.

Mars and Beyoncé got into a dance-off at one point during the show. Mars glided through the crowd, dancing to “Crazy in Love” straight to Beyoncé. Beyoncé danced right back, almost falling but catching herself with ease.

For the grand finale, the three performers sang Coldplay’s “Fix You.”
