Colbert Hits Hillary Hard for Lying About Her Emails
The Late Show With Stephen Colbert took a short hiatus last week to celebrate the Fourth of July, so Stephen didn’t get a chance to address the FBI’s findings regarding Hillary Clinton’s emails. Colbert felt like he couldn’t trust Hillary anymore, and even though he tried to make excuses for her, the Late Show host had to let her have it in his “Stephen Colbert Takes the Gloves Off” segment.
Stephen hit Hillary with jokes like, “Sec. Clinton, you lie so much that kids are now chanting, ‘Liar, liar, pantsuit on fire’” and “You are so untrustworthy that Beyoncé is working on a concept album about you.” Colbert rattled off a number of slams about Secretary Clinton being untrustworthy, before naming a few things she’s really bad at, like running for president. Stephen pointed out that Hillary’s actually kind of lucky, telling her, “You’re so bad at running for president, that the only person you could beat is Donald Trump.”
