Casting Veteran Susan Tyler Dies at 74

Casting veteran Susan Tyler died March 16 of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease at Sherman Oaks Hospital. She was 74.

Tyler worked on such films as Freebie and the Bean (1974), The Stunt Man (1980) and Flashpoint (1984) and on the TV series One Saturday Morning and was president of Susan Tyler Casting in Sherman Oaks.

In the 1960s, the Cleveland native appeared as a dancer on The Red Skelton Show, The Andy Williams Show and the musical variety series Hullabaloo after coming to Los Angeles in 1958.

Survivors include her husband David, son Eden, grandson Dylan and brother Steven. The family asks that a donation in her name be made to New Leash on Life in Newhall, Calif.
