After a night of speculation, all seems to be well at Buckingham Palace. Rumors first started swirling when several British outlets reported that an alleged emergency meeting was called by Queen Elizabeth at 3 a.m. local time, sparking speculation about an announcement regarding the health of a senior royal or possible abdication.

Then a French outlet reported that the 95-year-old Duke of Edinburgh had passed away.
But a well-placed source inside Buckingham Palace told ET on Thursday morning that, "There is no cause for alarm," in regard to the recent rumors.
In fact, on Wednesday, Queen Elizabeth met with Prime Minister Theresa May at Buckingham Palace and Prince Philip was spotted in good spirits at the London cricket club.
The monarchs have certainly been paring down their royal duties and appearances recently. Queen Elizabeth celebrated her 91st birthday in late April, but will publicly honor the event in June at the annual Trooping the Colour ceremony. Prince Philip is set to turn 96 in June as well.

Over the holidays both Elizabeth and Philip had to cancel several activities due to "heavy colds," but recovered nicely and have attended many official events since.
