Brian Williams tore into Donald Trump after President Barack Obama won re-election Tuesday night.
As the real-estate-mogul-turned-reality-TV-star bashed Obama and the integrity of the election in a flood of tweets, such as "This election is a total sham and a travesty. We are not a Democracy!," the NBC anchor all but rolled his eyes.
"Donald Trump, who has driven well past the last exit to relevance and peered into something closer to irresponsible here, is tweeting tonight," Williams said.
For months, Trump published a near-daily deluge of tweets, airing conspiracy theories about Obama's birth certificate and independent polling statistics, insisting the Democrat was driving the country into the ground and urging his followers to vote for the Republican ticket.
And he wasn't the only member of the clan on the attack. Weeks earlier, his son-in-law Jared Kushner's newspaper, the New York Observer, made a surprise endorsement for Gov. Mitt Romney in a front-page editorial.
"Here's the thing about the NYO endorsement of Romney: It is Jared's. And Jared's alone," tweeted Foster Kamer, the Observer's former media reporter. "If you can't already guess that, you're an idiot."
