You might want to close your eyes if you are, by chance, having acupuncture or dental work this afternoon. The new art for "American Horror Story: Coven" is as dark and bone chilling as we would expect.

Let's start with the needle-themed posters. Both pictures showcase a naked woman with needles everywhere. You can't see her eyes in either, which ups the creep factor. Good times!

The tagline for the first poster reads "Relax, this won't hurt a bit." We're not buying it because to be twisted up and stuck with needles looks like it would hurt. A lot. We know there's voodoo up the wazoo this season and by the looks of this photo, voodoo works. Gulp:

The second poster is a little easier on the nerves because of the pun: "This fall, the Coven will keep you on pins and needles." Get it? See the gal in the photo is literally, you know, on pins and needles. D'oh:

But we're just getting started. The following art features a Voodoo priestess who looks trapped and ghostly. In lieu of legs she seems to have a giant snake protruding from her billowy dress. And like the previous poster, we can't see here eyes:

Then you've got girl in the air being tortured and stuck everywhere with large, embellished pins. They break her skin and go all the way through the bone but she's not bleeding, just, you know, screaming and flying:

Fortunately, we can totally deal with the next one, which could easily double as a Jimmy Choo ad in Vogue. It's just a close-up of mini-stiletto-boots. The girls wearing the boots appear to be bouncing on desks — or have they been suspended over them? If that's the case, we are frightened. At least there are no snakes:

We saved the worst for last. Is it a bone? A horn? A thick snake? Or something that is beyond the power of our imagination? Well, whatever it is emerging from the throat in this most troubling photo, we will find out soon enough ... if we dare:
