Celebrities are used to being tracked down by paparazzi and fans, but not usually by fellow celebs!

That's just what Sarah Michelle Gellar did to get a role on her new CBS comedy, "The Crazy Ones." She admitted on "Fox & Friends" to sort of stalking co-star Robin Williams, who plays her father in the series produced by David E. Kelley.

"I happen to have known his best man at his wedding, so I tracked down his best man and said, 'You might want to mention to Robin that I'm a big fan and very interested,' and that's sort of what got the ball rolling," she revealed.

In the "The Crazy Ones," Gellar and Williams run an ad agency together, with the daughter trying to rein in her nutty father's eccentricities.

It's a big change for Gellar, best known for kicking butts (and staking hearts) on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer." Her most recent TV work, the short-lived series "Ringer," was a twisty thriller, but she was ready to break out of the dramatic mold and go for some laughs.

"Ultimately that is what I wanted to do," she told the Huffington Post. "To me, some of the greatest parts of 'Buffy' were the funny moments. You get to a point where it's like, 'You know what? I've cried a lot. I'm ready to be funny.'"
