"RuPaul's Drag Race" Season 5 is coming to an end--next Monday, us avid Drag-Racers will find out if this year's "best woman" is Alaska, Roxxxy Andrews, or Jinkx Monsoon. [Editor's note: TEAM JINKX FOR THE WIN!] But, as is a time-honored "Drag Race" tradition, the music video starring the top three queens is out now.
In line with RuPaul's usual synergistic marketing genius, this video is for one of Ru's own songs, of course; "Drag Race" viewers will recognize "The Beginning" as the celebratory soundtrack for the end of every episode, when the surviving contestants sashay onstage with Ru and the other judges.
So behold, hunties, the show's latest green-screened opus, "The Beginning":
To be honest (all T, all shade), this isn't regular "Drag Race" video director Mathu Anderson's best work--nothing will ever compare with Season 2's "Dynasty"-inspired bitchslapfest starring Tyra Sanchez, Raven, and Jujubee, after all! But there is some pretty sickening hairography going on here, so it's worth a look.
The Season 5 "RuPaul's Drag Race" finale will air next Monday, May 6, on Logo at 9pm PT/ET. You betta watch.
