NeNe's Getting Married, Bridesmaid-zillas Getting on Her Nerves

Yahoo! TV

NeNe Leakes is getting married for the second time, to her ex-husband Gregg, whom she divorced on "Real Housewives of Atlanta" in 2011. So it's essentially "Marriage: Take Two." Is it any wonder the whole process has been captured by Bravo and will air as a "Housewives" spinoff called "I Dream of NeNe: The Wedding"? The not-blushing bride gushes about Gregg. He's a romantic who cooks and brings her breakfast in bed. And he signed a prenup (finally). NeNe was on fire during a conference call about her new show. And we got her six best quotes right here for you.

1. NeNe on the Edge of Her Seat

"The part I'm most excited to see is the wedding, because they've kept it all from me. All I've seen are the photos. I haven't even seen myself walk down the aisle. The part that I will probably cringe a little bit on is for the first time you guys will meet all of Gregg's children. And it's a difficult time for us, because we had to work out family issues that we had. Not that I don't want anybody to see it, but it will probably be a tough episode for Gregg and for his kids. It'll be interesting to see how it plays. I hope I'm not a step-monster. I think they kind of thought I was for a long time. I think I've had the label of step-monster. But I'm really not."

2. NeNe on TV

"I wasn't sure that I wanted to do it on television. We broke up on television, so we wanted to invite everybody back into our lives the second time around. We were not only planning a wedding. We were planning a marriage. There's a big difference between a wedding and a marriage. We want to have a marriage, and a marriage is for the long haul."

3. NeNe on Prenups

"Prenups are not romantic. They're not sexy. I compare it to life insurance. It's a difficult thing to talk about. In real life it is about business. I always tease Gregg about the way he fights in court. There are ways to work out your problems before they actually even start. Even if we were to break up, I wouldn't want to see him down in any kind of way."

4. NeNe on Deal-breakers

The prenup "was a deal-breaker if Gregg wouldn't sign the prenup. I feel like if you love somebody, then why wouldn't you sign it? He signed it, thank God. But he waited until the very last second."

5. NeNe on the Second Time Around

"My second wedding was different from my first. Lots of celebrity, security, and a bigger budget. The second time we are grown, as in adults. We understand life, and our relationship is much better."

6. NeNe on Bridesmaid-zillas

"Bridesmaid-zillas — there were a couple of divas. I knew there would be divas going into the situation, but I thought they would do things differently, 'cause it was my wedding and I felt like I should be the only diva. I would have to say that Marlo [Hampton] was a diva. We had a couple other girls that were divas. They don't all get along. They're all from different states: New York, L.A., and Atlanta. We've all been friends for a few years, some I've been friends with for 15 years. It was difficult for all of them to get along. ... I wanted these girls to look beautiful. I wanted them to feel like brides. ... They give attitude, never satisfied, divas, I had all of that. I still love them. It was just a lot. They don't understand the word 'maid' in the word 'bridesmaid,' that the maid is there to help the bride. ... They were demanding stuff that I wasn't even demanding."

"I Dream of NeNe: The Wedding" premieres Wednesday, Sept. 17 at 9 p.m. on Bravo.
