Being fans of her sexy young maid Moira from "American Horror Story's" first season, we were happy to see Alexandra Breckenridge return to the franchise in last week's "Coven" episode as Kaylee, the perky young mistress of Cordelia's husband Hank (Josh Hamilton).

But (spoiler alert!) we didn't get to spend much time with her: Hank ruined their post-coital bliss by calmly putting a bullet in her head, serial killer-style. A shame to see Kaylee leave us so soon... but as "Horror Story" fans know all too well, death isn't necessarily the end for these characters.

We chatted with Breckenridge this week via email about her racy sex scenes, her favorite scary movies, and whether we might see Kaylee again this season.

You've had a lot of sexy moments since Season 1, including an intense one in last week's episode. How do you approach these racy scenes? Do you watch the final cut?

It's actually hard for me to be naked around a crew for hours on end, so I try to just let go and focus on being in the moment as my character. Otherwise, I get pretty self-conscious.

I watch pretty much everything I've ever done. I know some actors don't like to do that, but I think I learn from watching myself. I also love "American Horror Story," so that makes it easy!

As we've seen, just because someone is killed, they're not necessarily gone for good. What can you tell us about your future on the show this season?

At this point, I don't even know.

Kaylee seemed so trusting and innocent. If she returns from the dead, will she change into a different person?

Well, I can't answer that one, because that'll give away Episode 6.

What else can you tell us about what's next on "Coven"?

I wish I knew!!! They only give me the scenes I'm filming. I don't get to read the scripts this year. In Season 1, I read all of them, but as a viewer, it's great because I never know what's coming.

What did "AHS" creator Ryan Murphy tell you before filming?

Because Ryan is in L.A., I didn't get the chance to talk to him before we filmed.

Do you watch "AHS," and what has been the scariest moment for you so far?

I love the show. I think this season, one of the first scenes that takes place in Kathy Bates' attic with the tortured slaves really scared me.

Are you a horror fan in general? What's your favorite scary movie?

I used to be much thicker-skinned that I am now with horror, but my all-time favorites are "The Shining" and "Rosemary's Baby." "The Changeling" also terrifies me; I can barely watch it!!

"American Horror Story: Coven" airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. on FX.
