Check Out the Poster and Trailer for HBO’s New Drama ‘Luck’

Dustin Hoffman, Nick Nolte, Michael Mann, David Milch... the names involved in HBO's new drama "Luck" are so great, we were sold before we even heard the premise. And the seedy world of horse-racing is certainly fertile ground for TV drama. So while plot details are scarce so far, we can't wait to see what comes out of this collaboration when "Luck" debuts on HBO January 29. (The network already aired a special sneak preview this past Sunday.) We do get some idea of what to expect from the show's official poster; take a look for yourself right here:

Okay, so here's what we know: Hoffman plays aging mobster Ace Bernstein, who gets out of prison after a three-year stint and returns to the racetrack to settle some old scores. (And he looks angry!) Nolte, Dennis Farina, Kevin Dunn, and Jill Hennessy round out an impressively deep ensemble cast, and Mann's kinetic directing style looks to be the perfect companion to Milch's rapid-fire (and wildly obscene) dialogue.

Check out the trailer below for more, and be sure to tune in when "Luck" has its proper debut next month.

"Luck" premieres Sunday, 1/29 at 9pm on HBO.
