Are the Emmy Nominations Cursed?

It’s almost become a tradition for one of the stars announcing the Emmy nominations to not show up.
Last year, it was “Parks and Recreation” star Nick Offerman, whose flight was was delayed by bad weather on the East Coast. This year, it was “House of Cards” actress Kate Mara, who missed out on co-hosting the nominations due to her plane’s mechanical malfunction.

So who joined “Breaking Bad” star (and nominee) Aaron Paul in announcing this year’s honorees? Who else but the jack of all trades, Neil Patrick Harris!
The “How I Met Your Mother” actor is hosting the Emmys this year (after getting rave reviews a few weeks ago as the Tonys host), so it makes sense that the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences would turn to him in their hour of need.
Harris did his usual legen — wait for it — dary job.
