Why anyone would want to mess with the former Willow Rosenberg is beyond us, but Alyson Hannigan has allegedly been getting death threats through Facebook and a fan site.

According to the court documents filed Wednesday and obtained by omg!, 43-year-old New Hampshire native John Hobbs has been threatening to kill the “How I Met Your Mother” actress and her husband, Alexis Denisof. Under the court order, Hobbs must keep a distance of at least 100 yards from the couple and their daughters, Satyana, 3, and Keeva, 8 months, and refrain from posting anything about any of them online.

“Hobbs, who is mentally unstable and was recently discharged from a mental hospital, has repeatedly threatened my life and my husband’s life,” Hannigan, 38, wrote. “We both fear for our safety, and for the safety of our children.” Later in the documents, she describes her fear as “dire,” adding, “Hobbs has clearly developed an obsession with me, has threatened to kill and rape me, and has insinuated that he will take me ‘up’ to the ‘after life.’”

The comments Hobbs was making online were more than just a little disturbing.

“In 2013, I still can marry you tomorrow. I also can kill you tomorrow too,” he wrote on Jan. 3. “Cause I simply like and love you as you live life. Aly… It doesn’t end. Even after death.”

“Alyson, If you just totally just Hate me in 2013, I guess that means I’m just going to have to kill you rather than marry you,” reads a post written two days later.

On Jan. 20, he wrote, “Let’s see How can I get myself in troble today. If I go with what I’ve been accused of Most of my Life, I suppose I should start with being a rapist, so any nice girls out there want to be raped? No, ok didn’t think so. How about mass murderer? No, ok nobody wants to die.”

Local police have visited Hobbs’ home in New Hampshire and, according to their report, he “fully acknowledged his interest in Alyson Hannigan.” Police also observed, “Hobbs seemed to be living in an alternate reality.”

A court hearing on the matter is scheduled for March 6 at Los Angeles Superior Court.
