He hosted the cast of "Breaking Bad" and three-fifths of the "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" cast last September, and the cast of "Workaholics" on Jan. 20. Now Conan O'Brien has invited another TV series cast to join him and Andy Richter on the "Conan" set: Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, and their "Walking Dead" co-stars.
Lincoln and Danai Gurira will be making their "Conan" debuts on the Feb. 6 episode, while Reedus, Steven Yeun, Lauren Cohan, and Melissa McBride will be making return appearances to the TBS late-night series.
The episode marks the first time "TWD" cast has appeared together on a late-night talk show.
As for "Conan" discussion points, "TWD" returns for the second half of Season 4 on AMC on Feb. 9, so everything from those brutal midseason finale deaths to what Rick Grimes and the rest of the prison attack survivors will be up to now that they've been separated from each other should be among the topics. McBride's appearance also suggests we are about to see Carol again at some point in the final eight episodes of the season.
As for why the Coco/"TWD" match-up is happening, his previous cast gatherings suggest Conan is simply a fan of great TV. Or maybe he's just angling for a guest appearance as a walker?
Of course, this isn't the first Coco/"TWD" pairing. Remember the "Conan" episode from last April, when a certain Dixon brother stopped by the show and expressed his lack of appreciation for Conan and Andy's corny jokes?
"Conan" airs weeknights at 11 p.m. on TBS.
