Our favorite supernatural roommates are back in the hizzouse! For "Being Human's" fourth-season premiere on Monday, Yahoo TV chilled with the stars in a Google+ Hangout.
As you can see in the video, the actors — Sam Witwer (Aidan), Meaghan Rath (Sally), Sam Huntington (Josh), and Kristen Hager (Nora) — are clearly in a much happier place than their characters. Sally is dead again (or something). And instead of the romantic honeymoon she dreamed about, Nora is stuck in a trailer, stealing the few moments she can with her husband when he isn't a werewolf, which is now most of the time. When Aidan isn't volunteering as werewolf bait, he's apparently caught in a love triangle with Kat and his dead wife, Suzanna.
But most fans are interested in another possible love interest for Aidan: Sally!
It's a reasonable question, considering their characters in the original "Being Human" fell in love. "We've actually been very vocal about it since the beginning of series," Rath said. "It started out very much as a brother-sister relationship. Being fans of the British series — when we saw their Mitchell and Annie get together — we felt that made sense for them, [but] definitely not for us. [But as our] series progressed, we saw this connection grow. I still don't really know how I feel about it."
Huntington isn't as ambivalent. "It's gross!" he exclaimed and then chastised the reporter who asked such a "gross" question.
"Every time someone would ask this question," Witwer said, he and Rath would say, "'No, it's not gonna happen.' [But] they gave us all these scenes that weren't written to be changed in any way, yet weird things would happen in those scenes, funny things, that seemed to indicate a connection between these characters. So this unpredictable element emerged in these scenes, and we had a lot more scenes together in Season 3 than we'd ever had."
So even though Aidan is now juggling two different romantic relationships, "At this point [a hookup with Sally] is at least a possibility. … Aidan started out very 'straight man,' and he's lightened up quite a bit — and quite a bit more in Season 4. And [Meaghan's] character has grown up a lot. She started as kind of a girl. She's now a woman, and Aidan is a little more youthful for hanging out with her."
"We're very much aware that it's a very delicate thing," added Rath, "so whatever happens was very carefully planned out by the powers that be."
Huntington thinks he has a better idea: "Maybe Josh and Aidan will hook up!"
"Being Human" airs Mondays at 9 p.m. on Syfy.
