How do you end a series about one of the biggest, most entertaining train wrecks of a fictional human being ever to grace the small screen? By casting Lindsay Lohan as his daughter, naturally.
The series finale of HBO's "Eastbound & Down" ended with Kenny Powers (Danny McBride) writing the screenplay version of his life as he, himself, gets his life in order.
First, we see Lohan as Kenny's proud daughter at her brother's graduation.
Then as a blushing bride at her wedding (that's "True Blood's" Alexander Skarsgård playing her brother, best man, and perpetrator of an epic hair crime).
She meets her father coming out of rehab...
Rides a hoverbike to visit her father in Africa...
And, finally, eyes the white powder that is her father's ashes with a disconcerting intensity.
There's no dialogue during this montage, so just watch these while playing Queen's "Who Wants to Live Forever" and you'll feel like you saw it live.
Of course, Lohan's just recently out of rehab and in the few months since, guest hosted "Chelsea Lately," is filming a reality series for Oprah's OWN network, and has, by and large, kept out of trouble. Will she follow in her fictional father's footsteps to redemption? Well, if Kenny [expletive] Powers can do it, maybe there's hope for us all.
