Irish singer-songwriter Damien Rice is quickly becoming a go-to inspiration for talent show contestants seeking quality cover-song material. Last year's "X Factor U.K." winners, Little Mix, released Damien's "Cannonball" as their coronation single; this year's "American Idol" champion, Phillip Phillips, arguably had his best moment of "Idol" Season 11 when he covered Damien's "Volcano"; and now "Voice" Season 2 finalist Chris Mann, whose album Roads comes out October 30, has covered Damien's "The Blower's Daughter"--with none other than his "Voice" coach, Christina Aguilera, providing guest vocals.
Have a listen below. It's a Rice dream--and it's just the sort of crossover song that Chris (or maybe even Christina) needs.
