The last season of “Grey’s Anatomy” ended with a shocking cliffhanger (what’s new?) — Richard Webber electrocuted in the hospital’s flooded basement.
Shonda Rhimes, being the evil/awesome genius that she is, has kept us on pins and needles all summer, waiting to find out what happened to the beloved former chief. A new Season 10 promo indicates that Richard is still alive — just barely.
“He’s going to die if we don’t do anything,” a frantic Bailey barks.
Meanwhile, the storm is still raging in Seattle, which can only mean more injuries. And someone — Richard or another unlucky soul — loses their life.
“Time of death, 15:56,” a somber Owen Hunt intones.
Season 10 of "Grey's" kicks off with a two-hour premiere Thursday, September 26 at 9 p.m. on ABC.
