For a Dollar: Is That Anderson Cooper on 'Billy on the Street'?

You can always trust CNN’s Anderson Cooper to report the big stories of the day: the 2016 Presidential election, Europe’s refugee crisis and…the return of Billy on the Street? Hey, for many folks the fact that Billy Eichner’s TruTV series is returning with all-new episodes on Oct. 8 ranks as national news. As always, each episode finds the comedian ambushing ordinary passers-by to ask off-the-wall pop culture related questions, often with a celebrity assistant in tow.

Though the roster of big-name guest stars who have hit the Street with Eichner include Tina Fey, Anna Kendrick and Paul Rudd, Cooper seems content to stay behind his desk, which earns him a blast of Eichner’s hyper-intense ire. “Look at you delivering hard news! Do you think Walter Cronkite would have spent New Year’s Eve with Kathy Griffin?” That sounds like a question for a future episode of Billy on the Street.

Billy on the Street premieres Oct. 8 at 10:30 p.m. on TruTv
