‘Big Brother’ Speech Burns Bridges

On Sunday’s Big Brother, Victor won head of household and gave a vengeful and awkward speech during the nomination ceremony. Following the formation of the all-guy alliance, the Executives, Victor nominated Michelle and Zakiyah. Victor, who had been evicted and fought his way back into the house, gave a bold and probably misguided speech. He said, “Nine to one. Do those numbers ring a bell? On my eviction night, that’s how the votes fell. Now you guys will feel what eviction night felt.”

He addressed Zakiyah by saying, “To be honest, you never really show me too much attention. Paulie is the only one that gets your affection,” commenting on the quickly faltering romantic relationship between the two.

To Michelle, he said, “It should be clear to see, you were rude and mean. Yesterday wasn’t the day to piss people off.” Michelle, being an emotional player, welled up.

To deflect his aggression, he said, “I really hope that this doesn’t ruin any friendships, so I have some beads so you can cherish.” He tossed Mardi Gras beads to the women. Michelle’s slid past her as she sat shocked.

The houseguests who were safe either held their mouths agape or shook their heads in disbelief.

Big Brother airs on Sundays and Wednesdays at 8 p.m. and on Thursdays at 9 p.m. on CBS.
