Beyonce Reigns: Super Bowl 50 Half-Time Show Tops Most Tweeted Moments

The Denver Broncos took home the Lombardi Trophy at Super Bowl 50, but Beyonce, Coldplay and Bruno Mars’ half-time show took home the gold for most tweeted moment of the game.

According to data released by Twitter early Monday morning, the end of the half-time show was the most talked about moment of the night on the social media platform.

The second most tweeted moment was the sack on Panthers quarterback Cam Newton, which led to a fumble and a touchdown for the Broncos in the first quarter of the game.

Newton topped the list of most-talked-about Panthers player of the night, followed by his teammates Kony Early and Ted Ginn Jr.

On the Broncos side, Peyton Manning, Von Miller, and Aqib Talib were the most talked about.

After the game, Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch tweeted a picture of a pair of cleats hanging from a wire, seemingly indicating that he is retiring from professional football. At the time of this publishing, Lynch’s tweet has been retweeted over 180,000 times.

Other notable Twitter moments of the game included basketball star and Panthers fan Stephen Curry tweeting a picture after his team lost the game, but assuring fans, “It’s all good we will be back!”
