Battle of the Funny Fellas on ‘Lip Sync Battle’
On Wednesday night’s Lip Sync Battle, comedic actor Rob Riggle faced off against stand-up comedian Jeff Dye. The funnymen did not disappoint, giving the audience exactly what they wanted, with over-the-top performances, dorky dance moves, and outrageous costumes.
Riggle kicked off the night with his rendition of N.W.A.’s classic “Express Yourself.” Then Dye shot back with “This Is How We Do It,” by Montell Jordan. In the second round, they upped their game, with Dye performing Marilyn Manson’s “The Beautiful People” in a full white leather jumpsuit, surrounded by some freaky dancers and circus performers. Not to be outdone, Riggle donned a poofy pink prom dress and over-the-top blond wig to perform Avril Lavigne’s, “Girlfriend.”
In the end, Riggle was crowned prom queen and Lip Sync Battle champion when the audience bestowed upon him the coveted championship belt.
Lip Sync Battle airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. on Spike.
