'Banshee' Teases Major Firepower in Final Season

No fooling: Cinemax’s turbo-charged action series, Banshee, is wrapping up its acclaimed four-season run starting April 1. As this promo suggests, the final season will feature all of the elements fans expect from the series: tense stand-offs, tight embraces, and lots of firepower… not to mention actual fire. Yahoo TV is also debuting another key part of any Banshee season: the poster art. This new one-sheet is the latest in a series of eye-catching posters that resembles the cover of a vintage piece of pulp crime fiction.

For the final season, the imagery features a woman’s body lying in the water —blood splattered on the reeds — while a police car lingers nearby. Could this be a hint of the fate that awaits Carrie Hopewell, a.k.a. Anastasia Rabitov (Ivana Miličević), the ex-accomplice of the man calling himself “Lucas Hood” (Antony Starr) before the series finale? If it is, the way she wields that flamethrower in the promo suggests that if she goes, she won’t go quietly.
