‘The Bachelorette’ Finale First Look: Robby Gives JoJo’s Parents the Hard Sell
And then there were two, rose lovers. In just four days, all of Bachelor Nation will watch rapt as The Bachelorette’s JoJo makes her choice between Robby and Jordan — but ain’t nobody getting a reciprocal “I love you” from the Bachelorette without first receiving the approval of JoJo’s parents, Drs. Joseph and Soraya Fletcher. (He’s a gastroenterologist; she’s a PhD and Nurse Practitioner.)

That’s exactly what Robby aims to do in this exclusive preview of the finale. “I have a really important question to ask JoJo’s father: I want to ask for his blessing in marrying her,” he explains. “But I included her mother.” Oh wow, Robby, how progressive of you. You’re gonna let JoJo’s mom listen in while you perpetuate this Grand Old Patriarchal tradition. Sorry, there I go again — complaining about sexism while watching a show called The Bachelorette. My bad.

Anyhoo, Robby really gives JoJo’s parents the hard sell. “I promise you, she will be my number-one priority in all of life,” he says. “I don’t just want her hand in marriage — I want all that is Joelle Hannah Fletcher.”
So, will Robby’s soliloquy be enough to win him Mom and Dad’s blessing — and the Final Rose? My prediction, based on the way this scene seems to be setting things up, is that JoJo’s parents will LOVE Robby… and that will drive their daughter closer to Jordan.
